''Passiflora loefgrenii'', the garlic passion fruit, is a strange passion fruit, with a rounded and elongated, green-ripening fruits that have a translucent pulp with a sweet flavor that has strong overtones of garlic. ''Passiflora loefgrenii'' is a perennial, climbing vine with tri-lobed leaves a bit like some of its more common relatives such as ''P. mollisima''. Pink-lavender coloured flowers are borne on the end of the long peduncles. Propagation of ''P. loefgrenii'' is by seeds. ''Passiflora loefgrenii'' is extremely rare, not known much in cultivation.
